Then, everything changed in an instant when one of Jamie Lynn’s friends was hit in the head with a bottle. When most people think about how they would handle things if their friend was attacked with a blunt weapon, they would like to think they would come to their pal’s defense. In reality, however, a lot of people would be too afraid to put themselves at risk like that.

In a scene that was caught on surveillance camera, Jamie Lynn can be seen going to the other side of the Pita Pit’s counter in search of something to help her friend. From there, Jamie Lynn picked up a “long serrated bread knife” and used it to ward off her friend’s attacker. As the New York Daily News reported, Jamie Lynn’s friend opted to not press charges after the incident, so her attacker wasn’t arrested.
Given that Jamie Lynn Spears’ friend opted to not press charges against her attacker and everything calmed down once the star got involved, some people may not think that the situation was a big deal. However, hitting someone with a bottle is a very violent act that could do serious damage. Keeping that in mind and the fact that at the moment she had no way to know if the attacker had other weapons, Jamie Lynn really did put herself at risk by defending her friend.
